CATCHING UP

I wouldnt even go in on how overdue this post is but heyyy that is what happens when you study International Business,Finance and Economics. I barely have anytime to get my friend to shoot for posts and I dont even have the time to blog much thanks to uni life and the flu that has refused to leave me alone. I better get a tripod and remote soonish and stop breaking my promises. I know I am meant to do the Lookbook and post a couple recipes but everytime I cook something yummy like shrimp curry or peppersoup, I am always too hungry to even think about taking a photo before devouring it. Soon enough, I would get around that so keep your eyes peeled!

I wore this almost two weeks ago to a party with my friends. I generally hate brightly coloured shoes but I happened to like these court pumps that my mum got for me by Bakers. My top is from Forever 21, earrings from H&M, necklace from Romwe, bracelets from ASOS and I dont remember where I got my clutch from (oops).

Anyway, got to run off now. I currently have the flu and I feel like I am about to die. The weather down here has not been very good to me to be honest. Going to eat something dangerously spicy to warm up my insides a bit. I guess food always solves all my problems.I think...

CATCHING UP

I shall not rant about how terrible I am as a blogger so let me just go on to filling you guys in on what has been happening this past month of my absence. I left Nigeria over a week ago and I started school in Manchester. I have been running up and down the city in my Chuck Taylor's and jumping over pools of water trying to settle in well thanks to the bipolar weather over here.I love Manchester and the city has the vibe I really wanted for University so I am positive that I would enjoy it here. However, I have made sneakers, flats and boots my staple footwear because I do a lot of walking.Tons of exercise for me to loose those extra pounds I gained over a couple rounds of pounded yam and serious napping. Autumn is my favourite season because of how pretty the streets look with fallen leaves upon the green grass. My wardrobe staples include colourful knitwear, wool blazers and scarves from the vintage stores on Oldham Street, a bit of leather, sneakers and soon to be added to my collection, a vintage fur coat I am lusting after. By the way, notice my hair? I am still team natural but I decided to get some sort of afro weave for the sake of protective styling. I kind of miss my hair though but, thoughts?

After classes yesterday I decided to shoot some photos with my friend, Deola. Thankfully the rain had gone down and we were able to get some good shots despite the gloominess. I am wearing my all time favourite vintage wool blazer, faux fur leather shorts and earrings from H&M, black "uncomfortable" flats from Primark, ASOS (gifted) bangles I got as a gift from my friend, vintage sweater and this season's version of my old Mango bag from last Autumn.

I should be posting a couple artsy photos for lovers of photography like me in some days. Just hope the rain eases up a bit so I can get solid shots of the architecture here because it is really historical. Im off now to my Advanced Math class. Hope you are all having a great week.

TURQUOISE

Wore this ASOS turquoise playsuit over a week ago to my friend's birthday dinner. Paired it with ASOS wedges,H&M black blazer and an old black clutch. We had a great time with delicious food and cupcakes. Also wearing a random combination of jewellery from my growing jewellery collection.
There was an excessive amount of photos so it was pretty hard picking out the ones for this posts. But I survived,so,YAAAY!
I just feel I look ridiculously darker and tired in these pictures...

Birthday girl...

Hope I gave you a good view of my outfit!
I revisited my goals for this year concerning the blog and I haven't really achieved them but there is still plenty of time to do so.In terms of being healthy, I have been drinking less fizzy stuff, trying to jog three times a week but I havent actually been eating dinner on time.Infact,I havent had dinner and I am about to devour some indomie noodles. Its a shame really but, hey!Look at my size!
Im just kidding.Im super tired now so..goodnight everyone!

NEW IN: VINTAGE ITEMS AND NEW KICKS

I am currently having the break of my life! (Not totally though but you get the point). I have been catching up with sleep and spending time with my friends and lets not forget, writing courseworks. Your girl can never have a break*sigh* New York Fashion Week is over and the streets of London started buzzing today with many fashion enthusiasts and designers preparing for an amazing fashion week.I am not taking part of all this unfortunately so sorry for misleading you like I am front row chilling with Anna Wintour and Bryan  Boy or something. I was talking about how amazingly cool eBay was a couple posts ago and how there is a truckload of vintage items on there. Take a look at some cool stuff I got there and some other places.

80s Penny Hippy sunglasses: eBay
50s Kelly bag: eBay
The bag is so cute! The texture of the leather is divine and although it may be small,I absolutely love it.

80s pink jacket: Charity shop
70s Betty Barclay jacket: Charity shop

I got these jackets from a charity shop for next to nothing.I fell in love with the black one immediately and I am wearing it right now! haha. It has shoulder pads and false pockets. It looks so much like a blazer but more of a sophisticated one if you get what I mean. The 80s jacket is a size up and I feel like I can throw it over anything.

Wedges: ASOS (get them on sale here)

I got these wedges at an amazing price and I left the only pair of wedges I have back home so I needed something more school and nightlife friendly because my other heels usually hurt and I am not so familiar with the idea of taking off my heels at clubs.

If you guys are covering any shows at LFW, leave your blog links down so I could have a look.
Happy weekend!
I am having a great one so far.
