CHAUD, TRES CHAUD

Regarding the name of this post, I am not talking about myself please. I am not Megan Fox for Christ's sake and neither am I obsessed with myself.  Finally got to meet up with my long lost friend after several years of separation. It was good catching up over lunch and roaming the streets of London like two misplaced tourists. I'm not going to yap about how awesome the weather has been but allow me to say I have finished about four tubs of Haagen Dazs this past week. That explains how burning hot it has been right? I guess so. Excuse my gluttony, but that is also partially due to my love for ice-cream anyway. I added some random photos I have been taking over summer. Enjoy.

Birthday girl

Midi skirt and crop top(stolen or rather obtained from a generous friend) are from New Look, sandals from Office, denim vest from a charity shop, sunglasses stolen from my mum are vintage, scarf is by H&M and overdue for chucking in a bin, and bag (gifted) is from River Island.

I have a tub of  Ben & Jerrys to attend to. Pray for my sugar levels. Have a lovely week people.

WHEN IN DOUBT... WEAR BLACK

You can never go wrong. An all black ensemble is pure perfection and it has always been a favourite of mine even though I don't do this often enough. Its been a while since I donned an all black outfit. Should post one soon.

Oufits I put together on Polyvore. One dressy, one casual, all black. Something to inspire you if you want to go all black but feel stuck in creativity paralysis.

Roseanne.

FREAKS + GEEKS

A couple of photos I took with my friends before we headed out for dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday (biko,* excuse the weird poses lol). Birthday celebrant is the girl  woman in pink. Dont you just love her shoes?
This was my first time wearing this tank top I got while I was back home in Nigeria. It got some attention which is fair considering it has buttons on it covered in ankara fabric. Sweet! I guess I have to wear it more often then! My shoes are by BCBG, skirt from Candy, the blazer is from Pull & Bear and my earrings and clutch are from H&M. Im out now. Deuces!

*biko= igbo word for "please". Sorry my non-nigerian readers ;)

LETTERMAN

I think I have on a huge crush on this letterman jacket I got from eBay and this sweatshirt that I got from the vintage store, considering the fact that I have worn it times without number. I think I would wear these items till they literally fall apart and leave trails of thread for me to stitch back together. I recently discovered how much I love sweatshirts and I certainly see myself making them a wardrobe staple.

You guys know the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers that exploded in the fashion blogging atmosphere sometime last year yeah? These ones? I honestly was not a fan but  I got something similar as a Christmas gift from my cousin and I loved them ever since. They are so comfortable and they go with anything. I have always seen Jordan retro 4s as my ideal pair of sneakers but for a girl 5"4 with size 8 feet, I would look very out of place donning those.

Oh by the way, my jeans are from Topshop and my shoes from Dorothy Perkins.
Deuces!
P.S. if you have a blog, comment down below with your link. Would love to check it out sometime :). Also, I noticed that with the amount of technology around, the quality of my photos suck. I was thinking of investing in something that would make the quality of my photos better and make them larger but not necessarily a camera. You get me? I understand I could use Photoshop but seeing that I have never used the software before, I am quite clueless as to how useful it is, Anyone got any ideas? They would be much appreciated! If you know anything about website design, please hit me up. I know I am asking for a lot but I really hope I get a few responses.

SUBMIT

Hello, hello its me again, Queen of the weirdest poses and facial expressions.Just making a post of what I wore to classes this past friday on a very gloomy day (as you can tell from the photos). This sweatshirt has to be my current favourite clothing item and  I see myself wearing it with just about anything in my closet  wardrobe. I have never really been into sweatshirts but I am starting to like them a lot because I feel they fit my figure and my sometimes tomboyish style .Plus they are very good for layering especially in this bloody cold weather that has been thrown at us.Excuse my language.

My sweatshirt is from Vintage. Its on Oldham Street so if you happen to come around Manchester, I suggest you check out Vintage and the other vintage stores on that street if you are into retro style and vintage because you would not be disappointed. Skinny jeans are from River Island, earrings from H&M and my all time favourite boots from Evans.

Hope you are all enjoying preparing for Christmas and buying loads of presents for your loved ones. I would probably post a gift guide soon enough to help some of you that might be confused about what to buy. Off to listen to Jay-Z and eat loads of cake.
Have a great week ahead!

STRIPPED DERRIERE

Decided to jump on the bandwagon and get one of these camo jackets that everyone seems to be wearing.Every corner or street I walk into,I seem to find people dressed in camo inspired stuff be it tshirts, jeans or jackets.Another thing that made me attracted to the trend is my love for man repelling items.I guess I couldnt skip this one right.Throw anything baggy my way and as long as it is comfortable,I am good.

Wearing my hi-top chucks, H&M u-neck stripped mini dress, tights and scarf, vintage sweater and vintage camo jacket. My earrings and bag are from Mango and my necklace is from New Look.
I originally wanted the camo from the German or U.S army for some strange reason but I did not find it.Well,I am cool like that.
Should have le fro back in my next outfit post.Pretty excited about that because I am one big ball of awkwardness.

CHRIS-TEE

Just a quickie on what I usually throw on on those days when I just cant be bothered to dress up in a proper outfit.I am not a die hard Chris Brown fan but I am in love with this t shirt I picked up from Vintage (weird that they sell such). They had a couple other ones I was loving and I think I might head back there and get em'! A couple sweatshirts too, sweet!

Nothing better than my uni hoodie. Very warm and comfortable.Just what a busy busy student like me needs. I am wearing sneakers by Converse, skinny jeans from Topshop and a ring from Dorothy Perkins.
Back to studying for now.
Hope you are all having an amazing week so far.
A tout l'heure, Bonne nuit!

PINK AND SPOTS

Probably some of you are looking at me and wondering "how the hell did she step outside dressed like that with the terrible weather?", well, let me just say once it was three in the afternoon, I was'nt  reminded by anyone to opt for thicker tights and my wool lined hoodie. I wore this yesterday and as soon as the rain came pouring,I changed my flatforms to ballet flats because suede and water are not exactly friends.

My friend and I have matching aran jumpers! (she is such a stalker)
She is wearing sneakers by Converse, skinny jeans from H&M, Michael Kors watch and the  sweater from H&M

I can be so random. What could possibly be so hilarious?
Wearing Jane Norman flatforms, H&M sweater, Forever 21 shirt, blazer I picked up from the local charity store, H&M mini skirt, and necklace from Romwe.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate weave?Oh,well I hate weave and I want my fro back!
Fin.

CATCHING UP

I shall not rant about how terrible I am as a blogger so let me just go on to filling you guys in on what has been happening this past month of my absence. I left Nigeria over a week ago and I started school in Manchester. I have been running up and down the city in my Chuck Taylor's and jumping over pools of water trying to settle in well thanks to the bipolar weather over here.I love Manchester and the city has the vibe I really wanted for University so I am positive that I would enjoy it here. However, I have made sneakers, flats and boots my staple footwear because I do a lot of walking.Tons of exercise for me to loose those extra pounds I gained over a couple rounds of pounded yam and serious napping. Autumn is my favourite season because of how pretty the streets look with fallen leaves upon the green grass. My wardrobe staples include colourful knitwear, wool blazers and scarves from the vintage stores on Oldham Street, a bit of leather, sneakers and soon to be added to my collection, a vintage fur coat I am lusting after. By the way, notice my hair? I am still team natural but I decided to get some sort of afro weave for the sake of protective styling. I kind of miss my hair though but, thoughts?

After classes yesterday I decided to shoot some photos with my friend, Deola. Thankfully the rain had gone down and we were able to get some good shots despite the gloominess. I am wearing my all time favourite vintage wool blazer, faux fur leather shorts and earrings from H&M, black "uncomfortable" flats from Primark, ASOS (gifted) bangles I got as a gift from my friend, vintage sweater and this season's version of my old Mango bag from last Autumn.

I should be posting a couple artsy photos for lovers of photography like me in some days. Just hope the rain eases up a bit so I can get solid shots of the architecture here because it is really historical. Im off now to my Advanced Math class. Hope you are all having a great week.
